or could it be a battery pack. Trying to buy parts for something I bought in a thrift store. It looks like two pongs are sticking from item between 1/2 to 3/4 inch long...trying to get a replacement part...from the factory but not sure if my model number is there as it adds two 00's to it.

Yes it is a plug, ac=alternating current which is how a house is wired, dc=direct current which is what batteries are.

If I understand you properly, I think you just need a plug that goes straight to 120 vac. This is common with small appliances.

If it took a transformer it would specify a lower voltage, and it would likely be dc, like 12 vdc.

The type you need is commonly found, you may even be able to steal one off of another appliance you have.
