We still sin, just like everybody else. The point is we can ask forgiveness. We're not perfect and the Good Lord knows this. I don't know anything about this counting thing you're talking about though. We have to strive to be more Christlike.

Our sins are not still counted. We are to repent and turn away from our sins. The word sin is an old archery term that means to miss the mark. We will not achieve perfection but we are growing toward GOD and eternity in the power and authority of Jesus finished work on the cross.

While there is still much confusion on this matter, the truth is that Jesus died so that sins could be forgiven.

Prior to Christ's death on the cross, mankind was under the evil dominion of Satan, and had no ability to repent of their sins.

Once Satan's dominion had been destroyed, man was free to repent, if he chose, and receive forgiveness for sins from God, through the grace and merits of Jesus Christ.

And while some believe that anyone declaring faith in Christ is automatically forgiven of their sins, it's not quite that simple.

It's still necessary to apologize to God for your sins, and to sincerely repent (have a firm purpose of amendment) in order to have those sins forgiven.

Absent that, those who die in their sins may end up spending a lot of quality time with Satan, the devil.

Ever hear the term point of grace, you are referring forgiveness as one refers to an altar call, We go up and are saved and redeemed however the truth of salvation is much deeper then any singular act, (which is another subject, see Missouria Synod Lutheranism) it is a state of being, we are always in sin, around sin, being affected by sin, as long as we breathe the air of this earth, But after hearing the Gospel God covers our sin continuously, now as Paul refers to in Romans, do we all just go about our way and sin however we want? NO not because we earn our own purity, but because we realise that Jesus loved us enough to die for us,
What would you try to do for the man who saved your life?
Think about it, Good luck and God Bless

Actually, the bible says otherwise...

“sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee” (John 5:14 KJV)

In this John quote, Jesus tells the man he heals to sin no more, less a worst thing come upon him.

"If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: A dog returns to its vomit, and, A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud" (2 Pet 2:20-22 NIV)

"For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they then commit apostasy, since they crucify the Son of God on their own account and hold him up to contempt.. For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries." (Heb 6:4-6;10:26-27 RSV).

According to this... it speaks a reality that Christians in their Church reject nationwide.

Maybe I don't understand your question.

Jesus died for EVERYONE'S sins. This allowed us the opportunity to come into the presence of God through prayer and praise....but only if we wish to.

God is holy and cannot look upon sin. Jesus covered them up with His holy blood. I still sin sometimes, because I am spiritually stupid, but they have been paid for in God's eyes.

It's ME that gets to suffer the consequences of my own sins. Right here in this life.

He died to give us the forgiveness of our past , present and future sins
So he is giving us every day a new chance to come back to his open arms
Our sins are still counted because we are humans but there are always a chance for us to erase them all through his sacrificing

The simple answer to that is many people have not been taught correctly About that passage. When Jesus died for our sins, What it really means that now mankind can now pray directly to God for the forgiveness of our sins and other things. As long as we pray to God in Jesus Name. For we no longer have to sacrifice anything because Jesus Christ has now become the sacrifice for all of mankind And I know that many, Many people pray to Jesus, Or some other entity to intercede on our behalf, And ask God to forgive them. Or to ask God to hear and answer our prayers. And to put it simply That is not the correct way to go about it. Jesus stated that quite clearly that the only way to our father is thru me... Period........ So until we ask God in the correct way to forgive our sins they are still there to be counted. Also God stated in a very clear manner that once our sins are forgiven, They no longer exist so there is nothing there to be counted. But if you have sinned again those sins are there to be counted unless they too are forgiven.. So Like I said there are just to many leaders of churchs out there that are misleading their flock for they just don't understand what they are reading and therefore they are passing the incorrect information on to their flock.......... But they expect their collection plate to be filled in spite of that major error........... So here is a sample on how to pray to our father: Father or God which ever name you may choos to use. As I pray to you this day Father or God I ask you this in the name of Jesus Christ To forgive my sins etc etc. And Both God and Jesus Assured all of mankind that our prayers will be heard and answered........................

Because our sinful nature still clings to us as long as we live on this earth. We can't be wholly indwelt by the Holy Spirit because we're probably just not that close enough to righteousness, we're still weak by nature. Yet while our sinful nature is temporal (that is, sustaining for our lifetime) the Holy Spirit is eternal and when we die our sinful nature will utterly perish but because of the Holy Spirit, we'll go to heaven as incorruptible spirits wholly indwelt by righteousness. Thats the short answer.

Jesus died for our sins on condition of true repentance on our part. He paid the price of our sins and then we have to acknowledge his sufferings on behalf of us and sincerely repent of and forsake our sins before him. Then he has the power to wipe them away.

We can sin every day, we have been given free agency to choose good or evil. Jesus didnt take away the existence of sin, because then we would have nothing to choose from. He suffered for our sins and it comes into effect when we repent.
