not sure if u meant that or the anti-depression, the antidepression pills generally make a person feel a tad relax, when starting it can give u a feeling of being drunk and tinglying, but when use to just makes u feel ok.thing is it depends on your depression level, they can't bump u up high even if u need it at first, they have to let your body slow get use to the drug and move you up the chain to a dosage that is right for you. so that being said if u were serveral depressed it might only help u a tad untill they can get u up in dosage. ask your doctor whats right for you, and what they feel is a time frame for you to feel good to ok. also antidepression sort of deals with the persons state of mind, if u tend to think the worse and not working with the pills and therapy, you might be depressed still, i take anitdepression pills and i have my good days and bad. dealing with ppl and work. Also being a woman the female cycle gives in extra hormones and issues. hope this helps good luck=)

They make some problems go away. Like my depression I would cry all the time and I would not go to sleep and when I finally would go to slep I would sleep 15 hours straight. Now I sleep better and normal hours. And only cry if I am really sad or hurt. I am still depressed I am on a high dose of meds. They don't fix the depression. I wish there was a happy pill. I would to be happy for a few days a week.

You can only make yourself happy. No antidepressives doesn't just take away the depression. It usually works on the serotonin
in the brain. They help us to think more clearer, and with more sanity. When a person is depressed, there is usually a chemical imbalance some where in the brain. I am bipolar, and I don't have lithium in mine, causi ng the depression and highs.
The antidepressives help me to feel better because I'M NOT DEPRESSED ALL THE TIME! which helps me to think with a clearer mind.

Antidepressants cause seratonin - a neurotransmitter to hang around a little longer in the brain. Seratonin is one of the chemicals that completes a connection between nerve cells in the brain. They don't make you happy, they just make better connections. Imagine you have a short in you phone wires, when you talk the conversation will have static. When you fix the wires, like taking an antidepressant, you have better reception.

Anti depressants don't make you happy, they just make you less depressed. They don't take away your problems, they just make your problems seem less intense I guess.
