Coke really did contain trace amounts of cocaine in the syrup. This cola syrup was used as medicine from the 30's-70's.
My auntie was addicted to Coca~Cola and we could never figure out why???
Actually when Coke reformulated their drink in the "80s this was to get away from that negative 'cocaine image' but it didn't work. The new product was so awful that coke went back to the "old formula" minus the "c-factor". At this time "diet coke" has steadily become a leader in the Coke product line.
