Book recommendations? I recently liked, Ishmael (novel/Daniel Quinn), God Delusion (awesome/Richard Dawkins), Devil's Chaplin (Dawkins), Quality of Life Report (novel/some writer I forgot), Nickeled and Dimed (non-fiction/someone)...

Need some new reading material so that I don't spend all my time on this series of tubes thing. I really enjoyed Dawkins' last two books. Oh, and I've read Sam Harris's books too...

Any recommendations? Either in the vain of my Dawkins kick, or just out of the blue? I'm probably due for some fiction.

personally, if i were the dude, the first thing i would do would be to hit the lanes. then, blockbuster. get something really good. a sam elliot movie maybe. then, stop at one of those little run-out-of-a-trailer shops and buy a nice oriental rug. go home. watch said video with the new rug displayed nicely on the floor. but... if you still think you need some reading material... something fiction... one of my favorite all time books is called "Blind Date". about a kid who meets a girl... girl turns off crazy... tried to kill the kid... insane brother saves the day. you might like it.

Off the wall: Carl Haissen, i recommend Double Whammy or Tourist Season. Lucky You is also good.
Stormchild by Bernard C.something, i liked the scenery alot.
Life of Pi by Yann Martel for more deep thinkers. Fantastic descriptions and visuals and suspense and just very good. Greatest contemplation on existence and spirit I've ever seen. Graceland is good. can't remember the author.
