In a bid to be healthy I bought a pack of Millet Seeds from the supermarket- apparently you use them like cous cous or rice but when I cooked it by boiling it in a pan it looked like porridge and didn't taste very nice! Can anyone suggest any recipes I can use with Millet as it is apparently very good for you!

I've just binned an expensive pack of millet flour. It has an unpleasant taste and spoiled any bread when I included it. Canaries' taste buds must be way different from ours.

Quinoa is a good alternative to millet seeds, has a similar consistency and can be used in the same way as couscous.

Gillian McKeith has a recipe for millet mash.

Basically it's boiled millet drained and mixed with cooked cauliflower.

I can't recommend it. I tried it on the first day of a detox and it reduced me to tears it was so bland! I had to go out a buy a cake to get over it!

Millet porridge is a normal part of the Russian diet. It doesn't sound too appetising does it!
