To create guilt. Guilt is a powerful motivator, and is one of the principles that make christianity tick.

He died for us because He loves us so much. It doesn't need for you to ask Him to get nailed to the cross. He is willing to be cross to save us from sins. You should be happy if someone will pray for you it means there are poeple who are concern for you. I hope you will feel better soon about your bothered mind. Try to pray to Jesus it will help you. This is a sincere advice. I don't want to offend you ok.

They say that Jesus died for mankind's sins. These are people who were brought into this world and essentially "brainwashed" into believing what their parents believed in. A vicious cycle if you ask me. They probably don't mean any harm, it is just their way of explaining things to you, in their terms. They are trying to help you in their own way.
And that person who said that you do not know Jesus is a MORON, how can someone who never knew about Jesus push him away? What if people don't believe in your Jesus? Maybe you are trying to push him to us. You are a Jesus pusher. You are trying to explain his existence with more smoke and mirrors. He exists but you dont know him. Yes so does the monster under my bed, but I've never met it either.

I was thinking the same thing earlier in my life (oh about three years ago). I was angry and thought the things I have suffered was God's fault, I literally swore and cursed at a cross, but I realized, "Why would he die for me when I am cursing and hating him?". It dawned on me that it is not uncommon for a person to die in the place of a good person, but why would a righteous person die for someone who truly deserved death? I just realized I couldn't complain to God about anything because that would be like being angry at someone who saved you from execution and laid down his own life for yours. I never asked Jesus to die for me, and if there was some other way I really would have tried to stop him, but he died we can't change anything about that so the least we can do is not let his death be in vain.

All people who have a very strong belief in something want to be vindicated by others that they are not wasting their time in what they believe in.
I call this the "Lemming Syndrome"........ better to follow without question so you don't stand out in a crowd than to speak up against a thing and risk humiliation.
It is a powerful thing to say that someone "died for you".... and not easily argued with.... after all that person is Dead right?
Lemmings..... so fun to watch sometimes......

Jesus Christ suffered death on the cross and after three days he rose again from the tomb, meaning his body and spirit were restored one to another, thereby breaking the bonds of death. This means that all people, those who know and follow Jesus, and also those who don't even care, will be able to be resurrected after they die and live again.

they say it because He did! He did it because He loves you! He loves you because He created you! You needed Him to because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). So, you can pay for your sins with eternal death, or you can accept that Jesus bore your sin for you so that you could be with Him forever.
Sin is so awful and terrible that it earns the wrath of a just God. All of it must be punished. A good judge does not let evil go unpunished. So, in order for Justice to be served your sin must be punished. You could never do enough to wipe away your sin. God could. He loved you enough so He did. Only death of a holy one can take the place of the evil. Jesus is the only one who could fit the bill, so He took your punishment upon Him. Now you have a choice.Go God's way to HIm, or your way away from Him, the consequences of your actions will be eternal and will without a doubt affect those around you. You cannot undo what He did. You can either accept His payment and live or not. He says I set before you Life and Death, choose Life!
PS the sacrifice of an innocent one for sin started with the skin God gave adam and eve in the garden after the fall, it is clear it continued throughout early history, and it pointed forward to the time Christ would die for our sins. But those sacrifices could not cleanse the sins, they could only cover them until the Christ could come and wash them away.
Wolfie, Jesus is fully God, and was fully man here on earth. As a man he had feelings, 5 senses, etc. He, who was holy, would have a hard time even bearing one sin yet he took them all. Our lusts, pride, anger, jealousies, hatred, idol worship, etc.. he took them to the grave so we wouldn't have to. Father God would have had to pour out all His wrath for all sins ever on Him. Being a finite being I cannot see how God and Jesus can be one yet separate enough for one to turn their back on the other, but we are but a dot compared to him being space. If a dot (with no length, wdith, and heighth could think and travel etc.) met a cylinder, it could not comrehend it, just as we cannot comprehend God.

Hey,
He is alive and you didn't have to ask him, that's kind of the point.
He choose to die for you on the cross, he rose from the dead and now is in heaven preparing a place for us.
Now you get to choose, you don't have to accept him as Lord and Savior. You don't have to go to heaven, you can reject his love and choose your own way.
I think that is a sign of real love, being allowed to choose if you will love back.
Your choice.

If he didnt die for you, youd sure be wishing that he did. Sounds like your in a bit of denial about christianity which is okay and understandable, you just need to really find Jesus in your heart and youll understand.
