Well the reason is that WMP 10 doesn't come with a DVD decoder. You don't have to go to a third party solution anymore thought, because they have decided to include one in Windows Media Player 11, so all you need to do is upgrade Windows Media Player. That's easy. Google "Free DVD decoder software" or "region DVD decoder" Download it, via WMP, or just stand alone, and apply.
I do not know however, how to apply. I do know that you can do it directly via WMP, but don't know stand alone. Fiddle with around in the hard drive.

You need additional plugin..codec..
Use can use DIVX or free codec...
Try using VLC player....can play any format..Really like it.
