If you have already made up your mind about the world then what good is asking a question that you won't be open minded about? If it is truly truth you wish to find then why ask cavilous questions? Or do you really just wish to be disagreeable and passively stick it to believers? Just curious...

...I can see from most of the answers that it is really hard for some people to answer honestly, because it's hard for them to come to grips with the fact that they might not actually be as magnanimous as they think they are. That last answer was pretty silly, especially after reading her bio. Listen, this wasn't even about theology but more about etiquette. I actually consider myself quite open minded (according to my non-christian and other faith friends) but most people will disregard that when they think your a christian; which is a founded, but misused stereotype. I appreciate the answers though and they say a lot to me : ) . I implore anyone however who is serious about theology to talk one on one with someone, its harder to be so "smart" when you're with someone, I know, but do it anyway because the answers on here are too short to really give anyone a good opinion...

I think everyone of us have a belief but still ants to know about the rest for better understanding. When you ask a question about Islam, does this mean you will go embrace it or you want to know better? We are all sharing our thoughts and beliefs and the platform is open for everyone. You never know; one question or one answer can light a spark and make anyone reconsider.

Peace

Why not?
Seems that the jesus-freaks have already made up their minds so why do they keep asking questions?
Truthfully, it's good that they ask questions but they don't ask the right questions most of the time.
I repeat what I said in an answer to a question that appeared before yours ...
I am an atheist. I enjoy discussing religion as it is a fascinating subject and demonstrates the best and the worst in human nature. Discussion is what this forum is all about and not a one-sided barrage of fairy-tale garbage. Be open-minded? Ask better questions? Understand the answers, even the ones that you don't want to agree with?

First, this is NOT a forum. Secondly, everyone can ask any questions they may have about religion, whether they are religious or not. Third - do you realize that this question has been asked hundreds of times (literally) on this site? Why do you feel the need to ask it again?

Various reasons: One to try and make believers think about issues in a different way because they genuinly believe that those believers will benfit from so doing.

Two to smugly bask in their own rightness.

Three because they want to understand how believers think.

A careful reading of the title of this section would be "Religion and Spirituality". http://www.dictionary.com/ We're done here.

Look, you've made up your mind too, so why are YOU posting? My faith is the only true one anyway. Ramen.

We ask you exactly the same question. christians are closed minded and refuse to accept anyone whose ideas are different from their own.

we ask questions to get you to think but it is a losing battke. i'm beginning to wonder if you are actually capable of thought.

David, are you actually passing your psych studies? I think you need to go back to your books

God loves them so much that perhaps He has sent them so that His children (us) can touch their lives in some way.

They do not know it, but we are all created with a spirit which was created to worship God. When we force our spirits to bow down to our flesh and worship ourselves instead of our Creator, our spirits search for truth.

That is why they are here. They speak with their mouths, but their spirits search for the Truth.

May our Lord fill us with His wisdom and love to do His work with those who reject Him because they cannot see.
