Dear Ruby,

i think that it is not a good idea to baptize your baby on your wedding date. First of all it is a day for you and your husband to celebrate your love for one another. You'll have family, guests, a reception, so many things to tend after - that you'll hardly have time to enjoy the moment yourselves.

Your baby can always be baptized and it won't make it any less special for her- i don't think your baby will remember that he/she was baptized on your wedding day (so it's a bit selfish). If anything to baptize your baby on another day- gives your baby all the attention.

There is nothing saying it's not Ok but it seems awfully strange...

Perhaps you can have the Pastor do a baby dedication so that you can also dedicate your child to the Lord as you are dedicating your lives to Him???

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

No, if you want to delay you honeymoon by a day or do the day before that would be great but you will be so nervous and trying to get everything together for that day. I have helped some people with their wedding and they were so scattered brained on that day.

Not a good nor convenient day/idea. You need to look your very best on your wedding day. Handling a baby can be a handful thus its best to treasure the day between you and your hubby. The baptisim piece can always come later. Heartiest congratulations!

I think that would be beautiful. I wanted to do the same but we decided to marry at a hotel so that was a no no, but had we married in a church I would've asked about it. What a wonderful day that would be...extra special. Good luck.

I think that you ought to check with your church/pastor before you set your heart on this. Many churches/denominations have certain guidelines for weddings.
