How will you know when the messiah comes if he didn't already? Will it take "faith" to believe in Him or will everybody in the world know he is the messiah? Will he be a man? What will be the difference between him and Jesus?

So the whole world will be saved and we will not need faith? Are you sure, cuz at that point why do we even need a messiah? Why wouldn't God just come and bring peace Himself? I always thought God was a faith God. Also, I read that Jesus will bring peace to the world when he returns after all the prophecies have been fulfilled.

no, we do not believe that any faith in the messiah will be necessary. it will be obvious when the messiah comes because of the huge concrete changes he will make to the world, and yes he will be a regular man without an ounce of divinity in him. jews don't pray to human beings or consider them gods.

you are operating from a christian viewpoint. jews don't believe the world needs "saving." we think its a pretty good world, and that people are generally pretty good too, not hopeless sinners. the purpose of the messiah is to bring peace, to bring knowledge of G-d, and to bring all of the jews home to israel and to re-establish the temple, the holiest place on earth to G-d. we don't believe that G-d is going to come down to earth because we think that G-d could never be corrupted by the lower world of physicality. we don't think that the messiah will need to come twice because we think that G-d, being perfect, will send the right messiah the first time, and besides that there are no prophecies anywhere of a second coming.

If you are asking what Jews expect- it will be abundantly clear who the Messiah is when he comes.

For starters, according to most opinions (excepting that of the Rambam) the Temple will descend fully built from heaven and land on the Temple mount. The doors from the previous Temple will shoot out of the ground and re-attach themselves, a fire will come out of the sky and rekindle the altar.

ELijah the prophet will re-start the Sanhedrin and they will announce the Messiah king of the Jewish People.

Most of the people of the world will happily accept this, and righteous kings will arise among the nations of the world to guide them peacefully. Our hearts will be changed to naturally want to do what is right, except for those who are completely evil.

The completely evil will form a massive army and try to kill the Messiah. At that point he will stand in the Temple and tell the Jews NOT to fight, and G-d will take the rule of violence from the world, causing those evil people to melt away before they can hurt anyone.

The HOlyland will be completely flattened out except for the Temple mount which will become the tallest mountain in the world.

So it will be pretty obvious and require very little faith.

One big difference between him and Jesus is that he will not be worshiped, and we have a tradition that, like Moses, he will not know he is the redeemer until he is 80 years old. So he's much older in appearence.

The Jewish tradition describes a number of requirements that the Jewish Messiah must fulfill. It is rather cut and dry. Joshua ben Joseph (Jesus in Greek) satisfied only some of them. As such, Jesus is not considered to be the Jewish Messiah.

Having said that, the Jewish Messiah will fulfill all the requirements. He will be a man, just as Jesus was a man. The Jewish Messiah will come when God sent him, not before.

If the Jews hearts are hardened there is nothing we can do. Only GOD can open the hardened heart.

When Jesus comes again 144,000 jews will be allocated a place in the Kingdom of GOD. Once again the remnant is chosen.
