You both need to know that you're deeply in love and is committed to this relationship for a long, long time to come. That you're not married, its good to take precaution to avoid any unwarranted prenancies.

Nope, not unless you are he has a sexually transmitted infection or you're in some crazy country where having premarital sex can get you murdered. As for the so called 'emotional reprocussions of sex" that's silly. The reason it's over looked is because emotions are entirely up to you. I've had totally meaningless sex that was awesome and emotional sex that was aweome in a completely different way, but I never once found myself in utter desperation because of sex and I've had multiple partners. It's just sex! Be responsible about it.

yes, i am not even going to go through the physical repercussions, which you probably already know about but people always seem to overlook the emotional aspect. when you have sex with someone, you are literally coming together as one and you create an emotional bond. You keep a part of them and they keep a part of you. That is why even when you break up with someone, they can still preoccupy you physically and emotionally. Wait until your married. Your husband will love that you did b/c he will know that you loved and respected him enough to give yourself totally to him and that no other person has experienced your love in that way.
