I'm not asking about what you're allowed to take on the plane these days!

I want to take things for people to try - Christmas pud, shortbread, horseradish sauce, tea bags, etc. My question is whether I am allowed to take food into the country or are there restrictions on taking food from Europe to South America (packed in my suitcase)?

Or, does anyone know a website where you can look up customs restrictions between countries?

Thanks!

I don't think it should be a huge problem especially if you are coming anywhere apart from the USA (Brazilians are currently trying to get revenge on the US for visa/trade restrictions and can give people fro the US a hard time).

This website is about shipping but it should tell you everything you need to know!

Hope this helps!
