this makes me mad as hellll, for people should be provided with medicines for free (in my opinion).

i thought their scripts were covered.... if you mean a veteran hospital, contact the links below. if not, contact med companies, your state medical assistance departments, senior department and any/all senior groups you can. ask the hospital about charity care programs (or something like that). most have some sort of program to help with costs.

My husband has gone to the VA for a few years now, and he paid at first between $5.00 and $7.00 for each perscription. Then he filled out a financial request to get help in paying for his prescriptions, now he doesn't pay for them. He had to have open heart surgery after a heart attack and stroke, then he didn't have to pay as he qualified for 0 co-pay.
Go to your area VA office and talk to the social worker; or you can get assistance from going to VFW's and they will steer you in the right direction.

my dads are free but he is 100 % disabled
