i'm probably just thinking it means something when it doesn't, but what i want to know is whether guys include a girl's name in his greeting to her if he likes her... because there's this guy i like, and whenever we pass each other, i would say hey and then he would either smile back at me or smile and say hey, but this time he said hey to me first and used my name... and when he said my name he said it softly, what's that mean?
today when he said hey to me, he didn't use my name, but he asked how i was doing, although it's not the first time that he asked how i was doing... i don't know whether he likes me or anything and i'm too afraid to do anything... what should i do?

Yes, he likes you, but may be a bit shy to approach you direct. Isn't his behaviour a signal that you should come closer to him and make friends, to start with? Yes, everyone is afraid of making mistakes but unless you try, you wont know where you stand. So go ahead and make the first move. Good luck.

You need to know him better by observing and talking to him. Some men can be cheaters they count girlfriends. Some men are too friendly and just want to have a new pal. Some men show their interest with a girl like what you experienced. Take things slow. Do not be dreamy maybe you will be expecting too much that he likes you. You may get hurt in the end. Do not worry if things go wrong. You will find someone who will love you dearly. If things go right I will be happy for you. Good luck!

His actions would seem to imply a higher level of interest toward you. Drop subtle hints, both vocally and physically, and see how he responds. Ultimately, God has already picked the perfect person out for us. Pray first and seek His guidance in this area!

Keep the friendship going by talking to him more. If he were to ask you how you're doing again, don't answer with a "OK" or "Fine". Make longer sentences like, I'm fine thanks what about you and what have you been doing? Have you started your Christmas shoppings yet, blah, blah, blah. This would definitely kick-start the relationship. Good luck!

It is very sweet to be greeted by your name. Greet him by his name. He probably likes you and is trying to draw you into a conversation. That's how people connect.

It may be deliberate, I use a girls names when i talk to them. Psychologically there is a tendency for people to be more receptive and friendly when you address them by their name alot.
