I get really bad cold sores a couple times each year, but I especially want this one to clear up fast before a huge presentation in a couple days and midyear graduation! I have a prescription for Zovirax, which has never done much, I have a tube of Abreva, I have been putting ice on it, I have tea tree oil, but nothing is working. I just started getting it today (I felt the tingle this morning) and started using ice and everything, but a few blisters are already forming and my lip is huge. What else can I do? Anything you can suggest would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It's now been almost 24 hours and I've never seen my lip this swollen.....

take lysine pills, it's in the vitamin section I take 3 in am and 3 pm and they help along with abreva

my baby's pediatrician reccommend putting 1:1 portions of vinegar and water, mix it and dab the areas with cotton. it would help to clear the sores up. it is only supplementary to what you are taking. it worked for my baby and if it's reccommended for a baby, why not i worked for us? atleast you should try.
