I have really dry skin on my legs. Lotions do not seem to work because they just come back the next day and the days after that. They are dry cracks all over my legs. What kind of scrub AND any good working lotions would you suggest?

Forget the lotions. Start taking a soothing bath once per day. Add to your bath water, 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. This will help nourish your skin on the outside. Rinse your hands after washing with a solution of half ACV and half warm water. Have a salad a day with olive oil and ACV. That will help work on the inside. Also, a gallon of water consumed daily is the requirement for all adults over the age of 14. That's not juice, coffee and colas - just water. Your body needs water more than most people know.

There is a product that you can buy over the counter called Vanicream. It is like miracle cream. It rubs in and does help cracked skin get better. I spent years fighting itchy dry skin, and no lotions or potions worked. Last year I finally seeked a specialist, and they made me stop using regular hand lotions, especially those containing vitamin E, and lanolin, as those cause irritation (I didn't know it either!), and they had me stop using any kind of anti-bacterial soap for my hands. They switched me to Dove bar soap only, and the Vanicream to be used after every handwashing. It's done miraculous wonders, didn't cost very much, and is still working. Good luck, hope this helps! :)

Oil inside and out.
Omega 3s inside: EveningPrimrose Oil, Flax seed oil and/or fish oil (or salmon or codliver) in capsul form.
Collagen pills inside and cream outside.
There are more esential oils that the body needs and some natural sources too. There are also many great lotions that have ingredients that may be better than Collagen.

And of course, drink at least 8 glasses (8 ounce glasses), AKA 64 ounces of water daily.

It depends on the lotion you use and it takes more than a few days to see a little result. I use to have super dry skin also. You might want to try any lotion that treats crack or super dry skin. I use vaseline. Try not taking super hot showers.

I have exzema and it cause my skin to get very dry, I use Avon bubble bath as a body scrub, you'd be suprised of the results...Awsome. And I use Utter Creme as a moisturizure. If I keep doing it daily in about a week my legs are back to nice and smooth and soft.

Girl I say you should try Aveeno, it has oatmeal, which makes you skin real soft, and takes the crakes away, and also try baby lotion, and just keep on putting on lotion, it will work, and also eat peanut products, the oils in it make your skin feel softer.
