We have a lots of cottage cheese in the fridge, that i believe was there since january... is it still good for consumption? it already has a sour smell but im not familiar w/ cottage cheese.
Can you give me recipes so I can utilize my cottage cheese in case its still okay? thanks

yes.
Cottage cheese does have an expiration date, and yes if it smells sour I would throw it out. Consumption could lead to vomiting, diarrhea and all day nausea. ( very unpleasant ) Just to name a few (of the consumption of rotten milk by- product) side effects.
I do have cottage cheese recipe's, funny enough but I will wait until you throw this batch out, buy new and re-post.

Yes cottage cheese has expiration dates,and if yours has been in your fridge since January and it is now December,I would just throw it all out

just tonight I cleaned the refrig for the first time in many moons..and I found old cottage cheese too...omg throw it out fast..it smells so bad...make your kids take it to the trash

All dairy products have an expiration date...just the fact that it's refrigerated should tell you that...throw it out and buy new.

Check the "use-by" date on the container.

Yup.. look for a date on the bottom...or...if you start seeing funny colors ...throw it away or sart marketing it.... :-)
