x^3-y^3 is the difference of two cubes, because x^3 is the cube of x, and y^3 is the cube of y, and one is being subtracted from the other. This is a special kind of expression that can be factored like this: Formula For Factoring The Difference Of Two Cubes: a^3-b^3 = (a-b)(a^2+ab+b^2) In this problem, a^3 is x^3 therefore a=x, and b^3 is y^3 therefore b=y. Plug those into the formula and simplify: (x-y)(x^2+xy+y^2) Well, this can't be simplified further. x^2+xy+y^2 is prime. The answer is (x-y)(x^2+xy+y^2), not (x-y)^3.

Dear Final Fantasy Girl,

People go to hell because they choose to reject God's offer of salvation to them. Hell is a place where God is not and so people who don't want God as a part of their life will spend an eternity without Him.

God is willing to forgive people of their sins- but people have the free will to accept or reject God's free gift of salvation.

People go to heaven or hell based on their acceptability to God and no man or woman is "good enough" based on their own works to be acceptable to God. We've all failed to follow God's ways and so this is why he sent his one and only son Jesus to die on the cross to be the perfect sacrifice for sin. And so those who accept Christ are covered by His righteousness, those who do not are trying to make it to heaven on the basis of their own works which will inevitably fall short.

Hope that helps. If there is anything i can clarify or answer feel free to email me.

Kindly,

Nickster

Ah, but the church is a business and it needs your repeat business.

According to catholics, for example:

Sin -> confess -> be forgiven -> repeat

If you die between sinning and confessing, you're screwed. For all eternity. It guarantees people stay dependent upon the church.

The rules are different for each religion.

This is all make believe, of course; there's no heaven or hell, really.

Once you are alive Jesus is your mediator if you ask for forgiveness, Once you die Jesus is now your judge. He will judge you according to your records in the book of life. So dont be ignorant about this. It is the people's choice where they want to go heaven or hell. It's in your hand.
