(Assuming that the hair to be removed is not what is on your head)
1.Apply finely ground turmeric paste in the required area, leave for a couple of hours before washing it off. Repeat this over a period of time.
2.Use a pumice stone and slowly run it over the area. This may be a bit painful at first. Dont forget to cut the hair to the maximum extent possible, using a pair of scissors, before using the pumice stone. Repeat as often as is necessary.

Try making home-made wax/sugaring.. there are probably tons of recipes online. Also, plucking is a way, but it doesn't grow back finer, like waxing. :o)
