Can't all human evil be explained by simple human selfishness, avarice, greed, lust, etcetera?

Has anyone any evidence that Satan exists?

There is no more evidence that Satan exists than there is that YHVH exists. There is no less evidence that Satan exists than there is that YHVH exists. They are part of the same religion.

Now here's a thought, what if there isn't any evil, just various degrees of stupidity, ignorance, and short-sightedness?

I'd say Satanists sell their souls to Satan for favors by performing some rituals. Even though i am not a Satanist, i have read the first few pages of the Satanic bible to answer some spiritual questions here. It says that Satan does not love but still can be kind to one another. Also a satanist does not ask for forgiveness from god.

I have seen a documentary that came on sky around the channels 111 - 115 or something like that. It seems to be that what Satan went through and took over a person's body, that's what he looks like. I believe the program said was that he was a bit of goat, Labrador and the people that he took control over.
He took control over one man that went in a trance without knowing that Satan was in him and realized that he had killed a man just like that without knowing.
The cop asked him tell his name
The man's reply was this "I am Satan the killer of weemon"
In a disported voice. He seemed to have pronounced women as weemen.

So yes i reckon Satan does exist.

Well look at it this way why do you ask if you don't believe
Yes Satan exists just as God exists and that is what Satan is all about ,selfishness ,evil, greed, lust and so on Satan will pull the wool of all who don't believe eyes he make then blind to the truth.
Why because he wants to be God which he just can't be. Jesus
is the light of this world he can take away the darkness and open up your eyes all you have to do is believe in him
Jesus loves you more that you can imagine
May God bless you Merry Christmas

Dear Burt,

You ask a very good question. First of all, the Bible teaches that there are three sources of evil: Satan, the flesh (human selfishness) due to man's fallen sinful nature, and the world (the beliefs of the world system) represented esp. by the Anti-Christ.

Satan exists because God tells us about it in the Bible.

At the heart of your question is whether or not he is responsible for all the evil in the world. The Bible does teach us that God has reserved a place for Satan and his demons but also that each man must give a personal account of his life before God. So God does hold us personally responsible, we can't just say, "The devil made me do it."

It's a combination of those three things i described above...

hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

Is there evidence that satan doesn't exist? I dont personally believe in satan but it's logical if you think about it. Can't have God without satan, good without evil..an opposite for just about everything. You wouldnt know what good was without evil. If being good makes us a bit like God...then being evil makes us a bit like satan. That's normal. Some people require a symbol for good and bad. Satan is a symbol. If people can be evil, which we know they can, then I guess satan does exist.

I like to think of Satan as a little story just to scare little kids into being good, ya know? I mean, put on a spooky voice and tell them that Satan's gonna cook them in a pot, eat them, regurgitate them, and start the process all over again...it will scare the heck out of them and keep them from "sinning." I don't believe in God or Satan. I believe that we just go into oblivion when we die. There is no solid evidence that Satan exists, and I like scientific proof for everything!

No one needs to believe in him. He doesn't exist except in the minds of the demented. There is no evidence that he exists or has ever existed except in the minds of the mad, Christians and other religious believers.

Anyone who doesn't believe in what most 'Christians' believe, are considered touched by Satan, otherwise, they would believe. Very odd world view really.

Believing in books that are compilations of other religious beliefs, which are denied by those who believe in those same books, is an odd way of looking at the universe. Very sad.

Christians need Satan to exist so that Jesus can exist.

Yes

The only evidence for Satan is the Bible

Nobody needs to believe in any gods or devils; but the way christianity works (and other religions, too) is the good cop - bad cop trick.

And of course there can never be any proof of the existence of any particular gods or their arch-enemies, any more than there can be proof for the existence of modern superheroes or their arch-enemies.

honestly i think he "might" be a myth. humans are a lucky breed born with choice and no one can goad us into anything... (if we are strong enough)... but i think he is a necessary myth in order to instil morality in the human race. when you think of this evil beyond evil creature and the thought of facing eternity in flames within his presence... yikes! and since we're just living in a world where we arent really sure wether all we know is true or not... what are the chances of it being true or it not being true? so i suppose the safest bet would be to rather believe in case it might be true... i mean who really knows wether heaven or hell exist? satan himself?... never seen the dude before. lol

but i wouldnt hold dude accountable for our actions... and using him as an excuse is beyond sanity.
