Papa, almost the whole world apart from Japan, the former British empire and a few small countries in Europe are republics. Italy is a republic.

jeez you got some stupid answers here. I don't know what papa bear was talking about at all.

I think we should leave god out of it all together and just live.

What makes you think most Christians live in republics? Until recently, the Netherlands had a socialist government. Communism is strong in Italy. So what Christians are you talking about

If they start referring to republic of God, it would imply that G-d has equals and the believers thoughts and opinions matters to him. A kingdom of G-d would imply that he is the only ruler with the ultimate power. Which do you think is more relevant to christianity.
