we tied off, after he walked out of my life. Now he what's to come back. I still have love in my heart,but I am very much afraid of the emotional hurt. HELP!

Well they say if you love someone then set them free and if they return it was meant to be.
8 Years is a long time. If the only hurt was in the breaking up and leaving, and the eight years together was otherwise good, then go for it.
If the 8 years wasn't great, then forget it. Expect more of the same.
Sounds like you two can't forget eachother, so get back together and get married and stick to it for life.
You have both experienced separation and it seems that neither was happy to be apart. Get committed and make it work.

The thing about relationships that are on and off is that usually the two people do not have the strength to say to themselves "ok, I CAN live without this person" yet at the same time they are unable to resolve their issues. Even if you love him, if he hurt you once there is the possibility of him doing so again.
Its up to you, but if the break up last time was too painful and you don't think you can put it all aside.. then move on.

Of course you will still have love 4 him in your heart cuz yall were together 4 at least 8yrs. Try talking to him and find out why he wants to get back with you. I was in the same kind of situation and i was so confused because i had just started a new relationship. If you want to get back with him than make sure thats what you want and not wat he wants. Follow your heart.
