Try reading an article about this event. Jewish ppl didn't want the trees down. They wanted ONE menorah up amongst 15 trees.
But I know, it's so much more fun to feel like a persecuted christain. Go and enjoy yourself. Don't let the facts get in your way.

Anti-semitism is another big misconception created, spread worldwide and believe. Do you know who Semites are? All generations that came fom Sam, son of Prophet Noah. This does not mean only 'Jews' but all races in the Levant area (Syria, Lebanon, Palestine + Egypt). So, being an Egyptian muslim means I am a Semite. Being a Chrisitan Lebanese is a Semite. A Jew originally from Brazil who moved to Palestine is NOT a semite.
Since I am a semite, how can I be an Anti-Semite?!!

... there are millions of people all over the place who will put up trees instead of menoras. There are hundreds of thousands of malls and towns that will celebrate christmas but no Hanakkah. Does that make them all antisemiti? No. Perhaps *enter nasty word* for only accepting "christian" celebrations but not being willing to accept the celebrations of other faiths.

I thought that was wrong that they did that!!!
But, I understand why..... If they allow for the Christian faith to have a place on their floor, they might as well have a Muslim place on the floor.... might as well have a Buddhist place on the floor... might as well have a satanic place on the floor......
because every faith that argues their point should also have a place.... it is difficult to please all because not all agree..... and yet, if one is not recognized as having a point, freedom of speech might as well be stricken........
Just makes it harder on those who believe.... and those whose traditions have followed this way long before the confusion came along.....
