If you petitioned for your wife, you need to keep an eye on the Visa Bulletin, which tells you when priority dates become current. Right now it's about 4 years for the spouse of an LPR:

It would take about one to two months for apply for your wife's visa. However, if you have steady job and good credit, faster process will be more guaranteed. I think you don't need to apply for her tourism visa, just apply for spouse or fiancee visa.
