No. Sauna does not burn fat but does make you sweat. The reason why people feel slimmer after a sauna bath is because they lost some water. Losing water is meaningless in a weight loss program.

Take a sauna after you work out. Also take a shower before ,and going in the nude is best as a sauna will open the pores in your skin. Do not stay in the sauna any longer than 15 minutes and if you have High Blood Pressure, avoid it altogether. After your sauna have a shower with cool water to close your pores.

relaxing in the sauna can be beneficial to your health. It can cleanse your pores, and help reduce acne. women should be wary, that if you have long hair, and dont bundle it up, it can cause you to have more split ends.

Now for the question of losing weight, this is a myth.
you do lose a lot of water while in the sauna, and this temporary weight loss. and when you get out of the sauna, you will crave to drink water, and eat salty foods. and usually the salty foods will also have higher fat ratio, and in the long term you will gain more weight.

No, all it really does is dehydrate you. It's all water weight. Drink water to rehydrate and it all comes back! The only real way to burn fat is through aerobic exercise and weight training (not like power-lifting, more like low weights and lots of reps) and healthy eating (portion control). It's proven that weight training burns alot of fat because the more lean muscle you have, the more fat you burn :o) Good luck!

No, it helps you lose fluid which would show on the scales as weight loss, until you had a drink of water. Being hotter does cause an increase in heart beat which slightly increases your calorie consumption but frankly, it's barely noticable.

Your body works like your bank account. If you take out more than you put in it gets smaller, if you put in more than you take out it gets bigger. That's all there is to it.

No, it just causes you to sweat or your body to loose water, which will make you lighter, but not less fat. A good diet in moderation and exercise is the only good cure for loosing weight. There is no magic pill or diet alone, short of starvation that will work without exercising the muscles (legs perferably).

It only helps you loose water weight. Once you rehydrate yourself, you gain it back. Athletes use it to loose weight quickly before weigh-ins and then hydrate to get the weight and strength back. It's only temporary.
