Tesco has been around longer than the EU!!! The EU had loads of rules about the price things could be so Tesco weren't allowed to sell designer gear like levi's dirt cheap anymore. Also, generic stuff like the bananas had to be straighter etc etc.

Uk was in the eu long before tesco came along

I don't think it does does it? the UK has been in the EU at least 5 - 10 years now.
