First, if you want the weight loss to be permanent, forget "dieting". The problem with going on a diet is when you stop the die your weight and go back to what you were doing before, you weight will return to what it was before, plus a bit more probably.

Instead take a proper, honest, look at what you do every day. Consider what small, sustainable, changes you can make. To give you some ideas, most adults eat around 2kilos (4.5 lbs) in weight in food every day. Make sure at least half a kilo is vegetables, you can include fruits but be aware lots have a high sugar content. Make sure you are drinking at least 1.5 litres of water a day and if you are in a hot envirnoment, even more. If you hate water you can drink other things but beware of drinks containing caffine or sugar. Caffine is a diaretic and will cause you to dehydrate and sugar, well that's obvious.

Increasing your exercise levels is obviously beneficial as well. But again make sure it's a change you can sustain. There is no point in joining a gym or taking up running or buying a piece of exercise equipment, if you are going to give it up again after a few weeks. Whatever exercise you do, you need to enjoy it. I took up dance classes. Remember any physical activity counts (Yes Any!!!!)

The key to sucessful weight loss is to enjoy losing it as much or preferable more, than you enjoyed putting it on. And don't worry if you have the occasional lapse. It's not what you do one meal, one day, or even one week a year that defines you, it's what you do every day.

Good luck

The lemonade/Maple syrup diet is easy and contains all the vitamins and minerals you need.

1 Lemonade Drink (10 oz.)
2 tablespoons (1 fluid ounce) of fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice,
2 tablespoons (1 fluid ounce) of organic grade B maple syrup,
1/10th teaspoon of cayenne (hot red) pepper, and
8 fluid ounces of spring or purified water. Do not use fluoridated water.

Drink the above drink for breakfast and lunch and have a sensible
healthy meal for dinner.

If you really want to lose weight fast and clean the toxins out of your body try The Master Cleanser. This involves drinking the above drink 6 to 12 times a day with a saline flush and herbal tea.
with no food for the duration of the fast.

or buy the book; The Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs.

One woman I know lost 70 lbs in one year on the above diet of one meal a day plus 2 lemonades.

Another woman lost 90 lbs in 45 days on the Master cleanse.
