LOL, he's going to China, not Antartica!
Communications are pretty open nowadays and you can call or leave email with him as often as you want.
And contrary to popular myth, most chinese business trips do not involves wild sex orgies. I would worry more if he were to go to Thailand instead.

I wouldn't worry to much, I was in China a year and a half ago and It didn't get out of hand. It just depends on where he's going but while he's gone you should worry about yourself and not really what he's doing. I travel for a living and I've learned ( the hard way) He is going to do whatever he wants while he's gone. So you should do the same, do whatever you've been wanting to do for a while. When he gets home you'll both have good exciting stories to tell.

My boyfriend of 2 years just went away for 2 weeks. It really wasn't that bad. Just get things done that you didn't have the time to do before. Call friends that you haven't seen in awhile. Go to the movies by yourself. It's nice to have a little taste of single life again.
