For me, I like learning through life, work and volunteering. I like the internet for doing searches and research, but when it comes to learning how to live life and do things in the real world, I looove the real world experience.

That said, I also like the internet. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here answering these questions :P

Virtual school, just like any school, can be good or bad, depending on how it's used, what the goals of the student are, and the learning style of the student. If virtual classes inspire a person to learn more, dig deeper and ask questions, heck ya, it's awesome! But if a person is just grinding through the material, watching the clock and barely careing what the material is, then no, virtual school is not good.

I think the internet is just beginning to change education. But the reason it's so awesome is not because it can present the same material as school in a different context, but because it can present ALL information, and is completely flexible and infinite. If a virtual school is all you ever see on the internet, and nothing else, so much is lost.

What about you? Do you like using the virtual school? Or are you asking this question because you are considering other options that might be a better fit for you?

I graduated from an internet high school.. I enjoyed it very much and still had a social life, and I was able to work full time because I could do my school work anytime I wanted to.

I think it is up to the parents and students as to which is better.

It's not whether one is better than the other. It's simply what is better for YOU. It's all subjective. Both are in existance to fill the needs for the student that learns best that way.

That's a question that only you can answer. Which way do you learn more? What environment do you like better? Where do you learn more? Do you need to socialize? You can answer that better than anybody.

It depends on what you are able to learn the best from.
