Most doctors recommend that you drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water every day.
You can live for weeks without food, but you will die within days if deprived of water.
some of the problems caused by not drinking enough water are

It depends on each person and your activity level and other factors such as the humidity in the air. I live a relatively sedentary lifestyle and I usually feel best if I drink about 2 liters a day. You should drink until you need to urinate and then you'll know you're hydrated. I find that sipping my water bottle throughout the day rather than gulping water works better for me. As soon as I started drinking more water, I immediately noticed that I wasn't as tired in the afternoons, and my lips weren't as chapped either.

at least 6-8 glasses of water...but as i learned in my anatomy class..your bodys cells can not absorb that water unless it has electrolytres in it...so by addicng just a tiny bit of apple juice to your water (u cant even taste the juice)..or a tiny bit of salt (i mean like a pinch per 4 glasses... or even a dash of soy sauce per 4 glasses..your body atleast can actually use that water.to hydrate your insides instead of just flushing it though un used..and still being dehydrated.
