Do you really care if a soulless creature (Dolly the sheep?) is cloned ? Do you expect it to achieve soul in the process?

Why would a human clone NOT have a soul? Because it wasn't conceived? I see no reason for a cloned human to be different (genetically and physically) from the person it was cloned from.

I once was told that the soul supports the body, not the other way around. I believe life is soul and in some way it is all connected...so yes, I do think a clone would have (a) soul.

Yes, the clone would have a soul. The mind, the body, the gentics is not to be confused with the soul. Best case example will be twins, triplets. Though they have the same face, they do not think alike. The soul is different and is not part of any genetics.

yes.
something without a soul could not live.
That is the literal meaning of "soul" that which animates us.
If a clone were to survive then it would have a soul, but it would not be the soul of the person who donated the dna. It would be a different soul. Souls cannot be copied.

Does anything have a soul? We can just run the "does it have a soul" test against a clone. To my knowledge though, no such test exists. Am I wrong? Where's the test described?

You are assuming there is such a thing as a soul.

There is no more evidence to suggest there is a soul than to suggest there are ghosts, trolls, golem, pixies, fairies, the Loch Ness monster, Big Foot or Santa Claus. Neither is there any such thing as guardian angels, and I would urge the person below who believes in them to post any evidence to the contrary.

You would first have to establish evidence for the existence of the human soul for this to be a legitimate question.

Otherwise, it's like asking, "Why doesn't Thor visit me, despite my repeated invitations?""

Dear Lil Azian Boy '94,

Only people have souls. As of date- i don't know of anyone who has "cloned" another person. People are the only ones who have the ability to reason and know that their is a God and to give an account to Him.

Hope that helps. You are really quite a thinker for a 12 year old.

God Bless. Kindly,

Nickster

Don't know...no one has done it yet (and if they have, they are not telling...) If the clone ends up having a soul, then God had something to do with it...Who gave you your soul? Evolution?

God bless!

Bert R that wasn't the question, anyway I don't know it is off of someone who has a soul but I if it didn't have a soul then it probably wouldn't have a guardian angel and if you didn't have a guardian angel than you are fresh meat to the demons so I think they do.

Soul along with anything else is the business of God, God probably will put it in if He thinks it's necessary.
