Never!. Go created man and diseases are product malfunctions due to various factors like environment, lifestyle, Food habits, DNA mutation, so on and so forth. Even plants get diseases. Do you think any plants have sinned or have they hurt another plant. So, if you want to be healthy follow these rules of living. Hurt None. Hate None, Do good, See Good, Help people in need, Be kind. Eat frugally. And the most important of all, never expect anything in return for doing all these.

Dear Cathy J,

God does not use diseases to punish people. When God first created mankind- he created mankind with the intention of having man live forever in perfect fellowship (in a perfect harmonious relationship with Him). So at the very outset we see God's hard is for people to live eternally with Him.

When sin entered the world - we see death and destruction. Disease is one of the results of sin along with death (disease leads to death). Disease is a part of life- and it reminds us of our fallen human nature. There are diseases (ie: sexually transmitted diseases) that are a result of one's personal choices, but it is not God's punishment.

Remember John 3:16 tells us that God loves the world. Love does not punish beyond what it has to. Yes God does correct us from time to time- but to think that God would make someone sick just to convict them is a dangerous place to be- where one can really misunderstand the greatness of God's love for people.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

God does not punish people. We get diseases as a consequence of what we do. Even if it's in our genes, someone had to do something wrong to get it. It's too bad that many have to pay for what one did, but that's the way it will be until God comes back. That's one of the effects of sin.

Here's the problem with believing in an all-powerful god:

Bad things happen. All around us. All the time. Murder. Rape. Disease. Hunger. And so forth.

If you decide there's a god in charge, either he's the most sadistic person in all of fiction, or you have to start making up reasons for the bad things - for example, the people who have bad things happen to them actually deserve it.

Why not figure out the real truth? It's much simpler than trying to come up with convoluted explanations.

IM me if you need to discuss this.

Disease is the natural condition of a material world. Bacteria both build up
and break down material matter. It's all part of the continuous cycle of
birth, death, and rebirth.
Our spirits know when they come here what kind of body they will live in.
And often choose to live a life of hardship. Knowing it will make them stronger
as a spiritual being in the long run!

Hey Empty Whisky Jar, if the question was such a waste of time, why did you waste more by answering it?

No, I don't think so. I know a lot of great peole who have been ill. I don't think anyone is bad enough to suffer dissease as a punishment. However, I would object to this statement in regards to people who kill.

People used to think that in the old days. Today we have more knowledge and we know that diseases kill and it has nothing to do with god . In any case he does not exist.

Diseases are sometimes associated with certain things. If you don't do those things you don't get the diseases. God doesn't make you have casual sex that might lead to HIV, AIDS, Gonoreah or Syphllis. You make that choice.

My darling, we are all sinners, God doesnt' single people out. Disease is a fact of NATURE, it happens, we just happen to be living in a place where it occurs and because of humanities frail nature we are succeptible to it.
