Somedays I feel sexy because my weight is well distributed, so my curves are in the right places. But some days, usually when I am around a fitter person or heaven forbid, a petite person, I feel obese and ugly. So then other days when I do feel ok about my self, I wonder if I am just fooling myself.... Maybe I am just used to being overweight? I don't know. Give me some feedback.
(p.s. I am not depressed over it and I have a boyfriend who loves me, but I still have issues ya know.)

Yeah I do have a large frame. To give you an idea i'm a junior pant size 13. I exercise all the time, I've already lost 10lbs, and think another 10 or 15 is realistic but I don't expect to ever be smaller then a size 9, and thats if I really work hard. I just hate the stigma people have towards overweight people. I have a friend who is thin and tattooed and very outspoken and social, and when I go out with her, just because I am reserved and ladylike, people treat me like I'm fat and insecure. I feel it is my outspoken friend looking for attention who is insecure. Anyway, it is just annoying.

if you think you look great, you will look great.
you don't need to be slim and petite to be beautiful
lots of men like curves and a bit of shape.
personally i think it depends on the person but if you carry yourself well and think you're attractive, others will too :)

For one thing being Petite is not about weight, it's about height. A petite person is shorter than 5'4" but can wear a size 16 or 18 in women's clothes...
Also you have a few years left to grow. My mom was the same, minus the curves (she has a very straight shape). When she was in 7th or 8th grade she used to get teased that she was fat. Although I don't know how much she weighed at the time I do know she was only 5'3 or4". School ended and it was summertime. She shot up to 5'8" and lost only 15 lbs. When she went back to school everyone thought she lost 75 or 100 lbs. But only because she grew a few inches, so her weight got more evenly distributed. It's very likely this will happen to you too, because she was right around the same age.
The most you can do for right now if you still want to lose is eat healthy and moderately, drink plenty of water. Drinking water an hour before eating a meal (lunch or dinner, I don't mean snacks) helps curb your appetite so you eat less. But also, eating small snacks, and healthy ones like carrot or celery sticks every couple hours keeps your metabolism working, and the more it works the more calories it'll burn. Both of these methods are proven true to work, it just depends which one of them will work for you.
A person who walks on a regular basis, it can be a few times a week, will be 15 lbs lighter than someone who doesn't. So take up walking, if you haven't already. Just make sure you rehydrate yourself after walking.
Good luck :)

Sorry, I misread that, I thought you said you were 13. But it's your pants size...still...13 isn't enormous. Well if you're in your teens you do have growing to do. A woman's shape continues to develope into her twentys, but it's more having to do with bone structure, your hips getting wider and such.

For what it's worth, I've been happy and sad at my ideal weight and I've been happy and sad when I was caring 30 extra pounds; yep, I've been a yo-yo. Anyway, I'm 38 and I guess what I've learned in the last 20 years is that if you just take care of your body (no drugs, etc) and your head, then you ARE beautiful and sexy and others will see you that way as well. Don't become a yo-yo like I have; you'll drive yourself and everyone else around you nuts. And by the way, 5'6" and 170 lbs is NOT unattractive!

short answer hell no it's not unattractive.
longer answer... I've been with all types of different girls big, small, skinny, tall you name it and I love 'em all... but I gotta say I'd rather be with a women your size than an uncurvy boyish petite girl. love your curves, you sound just right to me, perfect. buy outfits that show off those curves =) in the sheets and on the street a healthy girl is way more attractive than a skinny Nicole Ritchie type.
I'm 6'2 and 145lbs and I used to have a girlfriend for 3 years who was 5'5 and 185lbs so I know. now I'm having sex with my best friend who is 5'7 and maybe 115lbs and I keep feeding her whenever we go out because she is anorexic (she's been anorexic for 10 years) and I don't want her to die by starving herself... I tell her she should gain at least 50lbs.
bottom line: healthy = hot, don't listen to Hollywood.

I think it's all in the way a woman carries herself. If she thinks she's looking hot she automatically gets sexier in my eyes. I'm not a lesbian by the way I just think women are beautiful. I have a friend who weighs over 200 lbs and I think she is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen. I am petite and I also have feelings of being physically unattractive. It's normal. No matter what size you are, insecurities arise.

The trick is to wear clothes that FIT! I can't think of how many overweight women I see wearing size 8s only because they can squeeze into them. For example, I can fit into a 10, but know I look WAY better in a 12! (cut out the tags and no one will ever know!)

well you could be slightly overweight but its not a big dea. also since your wieght is in the right places and you feel confident about it at least some of the time, you're probably better off than some people! i am really skinny and wish i had a few more curves... so consider yourself lucky. i think you are being a bit hard on yourself but we all feel insecure now and then

you are my goal weight, I weigh a bit more right now but I'm trying to get healthy again for me this weight is considered healthy because I have a lot of muscle mass.
I like this weight because I can be really strong yet have enough chub to feel like a woman, at that weight I had a relitively thin waist and now my tummy is kind of pouchy...
I know how you feel, my husband is very thin he's muscular but quite lanky, and somtimes I feel like we look like laural and hardy,
but I look at pictures and we look like a cute couple....somehow
if only I could remind myself these things....^_^

Pay no attention to all that say you have to be deadly thin in order to be attractive. It's all in the eye of the beholder. You are not as big or fat as you think you are. Cheer up, and go give your b/f a hug for loving you for who you are.
