Golda Meir a past prime minister of Israel once said, "There will be peace between Arab and Jew when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us(Jews)"

I have spent a lot of time in Israel and have both Arab and Israeli friends.
The younger generation, when I was first there in the 80' were hopeful and many wanted the politicians to get out of the way of peace...That unfortunately has not happened.
At that time Palestinians were part of Israel, they had (may still have) a political party, influence, business and land ownership and all other rights of citizenship except being in the military...for obvious reasons.
When Israel started giving separate land to the Palestinians, I believe, considering the very small size of the country that was a mistake, not because the Palestinians don't deserve it, just because the country that had the best possibility of uniting is now irreparably divided, not just geographically but also ideologically.
There is hate for the israelis from the Palestinians and hate for the Palestinians from the Israelis. Hate like religion is taught to the young, considering the past years, the division of land and the level of fear and hatred, I do not believe that there will be peace among the Israelis and the Palestinians for a long time. Definatly not until there is peace in the entire area as well as acceptance of Israels right to exist by all Israels neighbors.
I love many of the people I met there, Arab and Israeli and I hope there is peace in the future there.
Tollerance and a belief that we are all under the same stars equally will help.

They did and currently peacefully co-exist.

The 'conflicts' you currently saw came from the same source and didn't came from them. Yitzhak Rabin, Yasser Arafat, and even Mahmoud Ahmadinejad worked for the same master.

But suffice to say, you didn't saw much 'conflicts' until the existance of the state of Israel.

If you want peace, then ignore the so called 'conflicts', they were designed and executed so that people around the world will fight each other.

Not as long as Israel continues to deny basic human rights and occupies Palestinian land.
They don't even bother to comply with U.N. resolutions.
Google " UN resolutions against Israel "
You'll find a nice list.

It is possible, but most unlikely.
It wold take an extraordinary event to change a historic mindset, and would also alienate the Palestinians from the Arab nations.

Yes and no.

Yes it's possible, since most Jews and Palestinians don't mind each other.

And no, it's not possible, because their leaders are retarded.

No. But, I do believe they can live in peace in their own countries--Israel and Palestine. But, they must all want this peace. There are some-on both sides-who want what they want and do not think of the whole..........what is best for all the people.
