I'm 27 with dark brown hair. This weekend I sat in my sink and pulled out about 20 stark white hairs from my head. I think they bother me more than anyone else. Not many people even notice them. However, I'm considering coloring my hair or getting low lights. I'm not sure what to do!!

If it will make you feel better, go for it. After all isn't that the same reason we go on a diet or buy new clothes, sure it is.
Make sure that you use someone who completely understands what you are looking for in the final results. If you have never colored your hair, the color or low lights may seem a little drastic to begin with.
Sometimes gray hair can be very resistant, so it you go with color your natural hair color may get darker and the gray could become medium brown with a red tint. Ask your hairstylist about this and what recommedations they have. The main thing is to make sure you and the stylist are on the same page.
Good Luck

I've been coloring my hair for over 20 years and it has not fallen out yet. My roots tell me that I'm becoming gray, but as long as I keep that box of Loreal handy, I'll always be blond. Start with a color close to your own shade and go from there. Nothing to be afraid of.... Coloring your hair may make it a little more coarse over time, but gray hair is not much different. What's the tag line?? "You only better"......

I got my first gray hairs at 13!!! Premature graying runs heavy in my family. I have dyed my hair since I was very young. And anyone who tells you that dying your hair will cause you to gray faster is full of it! It is not true.

If having 0 gray hair makes you feel better then by all means dye it! I do recommend using a professional colorist though, especially if it is a first time.

Good luck and don't feel bad... millions of people are graying young and dye their hair!

If it bothers you, then I'd say yes color your hair. Even if other people really don't notice, you do, so dying it will probably make you feel more confident. Plus, you won't have to waste your time and energy searching for new gray hairs to pluck! You could try a semi-permanent dye...it's good for covering gray, plus it won't damage your hair and will make it shinier.

When you say you pulled them out, I hope you did not mean you pulled them by the roots! Please don't ever do that. Anyways, I am thinking of coloring my hair too, for the first time! I have noticed a few gray ones. And it does bother! Man, we are gettin old huh :-). All the best, and enjoy your new look!

hell no man let it go!! especially if it's white! check out Anderson Cooper from AC 360 (CNN), he was grayish white by the time he was 20 and now he's about 35 and girls LOVE his hair, my mom, my grandma, my sister and this girl I'm having sex with right now all think he's hot, hell I even think it looks good and I'm straight!... bottom line if you look young and have grey hair it's hot, if you look old consider dying it.

BUT above all else do what is going to make YOU happy and confident... because nothing is better than being confident in yourself =)

Well if your hair is going white at 27, then by the time your 37 you will have a striking resemblance to a bowling ball. Colouring hair can be a pain at times so why not take it all off now. They say one whom is balled looks more sexy. So go for it mate, take it all off.......

If you try coloring it, you would face more grey hairs, the best approach is to let it go in a natural way
