My wife fell down the stairs and hurt her knee. Now she can't mop the kitchen while standing. Is there a good way to do it while sitting.

There IS a good way of mopping while sitting. YOU do the mopping while she is sitting.

I know sometimes i get a little fussy about cleaning the house.
I hurt my knee (dislocated the patella)

I used my computer chair.. Rolls around the floor.. you spin from one side to the other.. It's great fun.. better than just standing up and mopping the floor..
But forget the rinsing out of the mop...

That was impossible.. So stand by with the bucket ready to squeeze when called for.

Have her stand.

Hold the mop so that the mop head is on the floor and the top of the mop is right at her armpit on the knee injury side.

Duct tape the mop handle to her leg. (This will immobilize her knee! This is a medical benefit!) Dump her foot and mop in the bucket.

Go to the local pub, and come back in 3 hours to see how it went.

As some mothers would say, "Are your arms painted on?"
Perhaps you should just take up the mopping duties while your wife is recovering.
Hopefully you were making a sexist joke.

Hahaha, the baseboards! And the guy whose wife also "fell" down the stairs! Ahh, I love you guys!

Seriously, didn't you marry a chick with a sister to take these things over when your wife is out of commission? Call her up and have her do it. But your wife better work double-time to make up for it later.

Yes the easiest way is for you to be the man and do it !
Many men do My husband is a doctor and does. I can't get down on the floor any more I do my floor by hand normally.
It's more important for her to ice and elevate that knee so she doesn't make it worse at this point or get worse. When your ill she will pick up your slack like mowing the yard. That's good etiquette .

You sound cold and unloving. I can only assume you are severely physically handicapped and cannot help her although I suspect your handicap is mental and emotional. Be a man and help your wife! I hope YOU did not PUSH her down the stairs!
