I'm 13, and my face shape has always been a bit round,. I guess I could describe it as: Wide rounded forhead, big cheeks, no bone structure....a bit of flab around my lip area, I guess. My jaw has some angle, and then my chin is clef (but in a feminine cute way, k?) I have some wide space that extends past the ends of my eye (which is sometimes covered with my long hair.)

With my face shape, I would be considered much more "cute" than "elegant and feminine", know what I mean? Perfect for pinching-cheek grannies. =P

My mom has an oval shaped face that's thin, but my grandma has my same cheeks.

When I was a baby...well...*snigger* I had a perfect square shape with my sagging babyfat cheeks.

However, most round faces have a short neck...but my neck is definately a bit longer than average. (And then lower down is my naturally bony and skinny body.)
Anyway, tell me, what was your face shape like when you were young? When did it start to change?

I was a normal-sized kid (about 4'11 and 90 pounds when I was 12 years old, which was average back then) but always had an extremely round face. The bone structure was rounded and I'm genetically predisposed to have a lot of facial fat. My face has more of a sculpted look now that I'm in my last 20's, but it may also be due to the fact that I lost a lot of weight in the past year.

I've found that doing facial exercises for the sides of the cheeks help a lot. There's a facial exercise book by Carole Maggio so you might want to look for it at your local bookstore or on Amazon.

My face was always fat. When I was born my mom said it looked like I had two potatoes in my cheeks because they were huge :-( I'm 21 now and still haven't lost the baby fat and I only weigh 112! Everytime I gain just 5 pounds you can see it in my face...it's disgusting!

From the time I was younger till now I have had people tell me I have a heart shaped face. But my husband's mom always tells me it's square. It makes me feel so ugly because a square face is more generally found on men, not women. Not to mention...my face is fat, but the rest of me is thin-average, so I look like a pumpkin with a thin waist and butt, and short legs.

I don't see how people can confuse a heart shape and square shape though since the two are different. I have high cheek bones. There's a good way to tell what you have though, by measuring. My forehead measures 5", cheekbones are 5.5" and my jaw is 4.5", the length is 7" and to have a square face the legnth is equal to double of the width and mine isn't. But to have a heart shape the forehead is wider than the cheeks and the cheeks are wider than the jaw, but my cheeks are wider than everything. So the website I found about measuring by inches said I have a diamond shape. It's in between a heart and an oval. But it still looks awful. :-/

Well, I think all babies have round faces, but they soon start to develop different face shapes when they get a bit older. My face has been heart shaped ever since I was like 3 years old maybe. The older I got the more dramatically heart shaped my face became. When I was about 12-13 I started to lose the baby fat in my cheeks, my cheekbones started to show through, and my chin got pointier. When I was like 16-17 my face was still kind of chubby, but I lost some weight when I was 19 and now my face is exactly like an upside down triangle. The good thing is that I have nice cheekbones, but the "bad" side is that I have a pointy alien chin and a wide forehead. A good hairstyle fixes that though.

I love round faces! My mom has a round face and she's 47 now, but she looks a lot younger because of her face shape. It's easy to get a hairstyle that gives your face more structure (for round faces), but it's hard to add fat to your cheeks. Some older women are actually getting fat injected into their face.
