The OT is what Christians refer to as the books of the Bible prior to Matthew. The 5 books of Moses are known as the Pentatuch. Sometimes, I have heard only this referred to as Torah, and sometimes I hear all of the books through the prophets referred to as Torah. I think it maybe depends on the culture of the group you're with?

Then there's also the writings of the Rabbi's over the centuries. I've never heard that called Torah though.

No, the Torah is the first five books, sometimes called the Mosaic writings because Moses was said to be the first to write them down. Strictly speaking, a Torah is a holy item, being a copy of these books created according to strict guidelines and ritual, kept in a sacred enclosure and only handled by certain people.

The Old Testament is the collection of scriptures preceding the time of Christ. This term is meaningful only to those who recognize the New Testament.

No. The Torah is the first five books of the Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Dueteronomy. The rest of the Old Testment is taken from the Jewish Tanakh, which also includes the Torah.

Nope. The Protestant Old Testament is for the most part identical with the Jewish Tanakh. Torah primarily refers to the first section of the Tanakh–the first five books of the Tanach

I'm not Jewish but I am Roman Catholic but I'm thinking that the Torah is more stricter and legit version of the Old Testament. The Torah looks way deeper into the B.C. eras than the Old Testament, plus it is in Hebrew and Hebrew is one (I think oldest) of the oldest recorded languages in the world. I hope I haven't offended any Jewish people for they are the only people of whom I give my most respect next to my Roman Catholic brethren, or have displayed false information, please correct me if I have.
