advil will be alright with energy drinks. the drinks, the stress, and the lack of sleep may actually be causing your pains though.
Good luck on your finals, I just finished mine a week ago and have been taking headache pills to cure the hangovers.
A piece of unsolicited advice: Aspirin is actually good to take on a daily basis in limited doses for heart disease. it is a natural blood thinner and even though you are young, it may be good to know if your family has any history or you just want to start playing it safe.

Advil is extremely safe and works very well, when taken as directed. In a small number of people, it can cause mild stomach upset, so take with food if you tend to have a sensitive stomach.
They are fine when mixed with energy drinks. However, too many energy drinks will do more damage to your body than Advil will. I'd be more worried about that---ridiculous quantities of sugar are in those drinks (hence the 'energy'---which is truly only meant for sports) or some of them have a lot of caffeine.

I have had assuances from my doc that advil (ibuprofin) is relatively safe.I had back muscle ache and took maximum dose at the recommended level religiously for a week. My pain was gone in two days, only to return mildly when the meds stopped.
Take it, but give the max dose and give it a couple days. .It is NOT a medicine that works in one dose. The body need to build up a level.
Ibuprofen appears to have the lowest incidence of gastrointestinal adverse drug reactions (ADRs) of all the non-selective NSAIDs. However, this only holds true at lower doses of ibuprofen, so over-the-counter preparations of ibuprofen are generally labelled to advise a maximum daily dose of 1,200 mg.
Adverse affects: All meds have risks...this is minimal...
In low single doses (200 to 400 mg) and daily doses of up to 1,200 mg the incidence of side effects is low. However, in patients treated on a long-term basis with more than 1,200 mg daily discontinuation rates are as high as 10 to 15%.
Common adverse effects include: nausea, dyspepsia, gastrointestinal ulceration/bleeding, raised liver enzymes, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, salt and fluid retention, hypertension.[5]
Infrequent adverse effects include: oesophageal ulceration, heart failure, hyperkalaemia, renal impairment, confusion, bronchospasm, rash
Consider generic ibuprofin instead of Advil and pay less for the same generic med.
