I fully agree with your thoughts and you are right. GOD is not for asking money, favours or any great properties etc. I pray God and ask him only for disease free life and happiness and to bless all including the people who do not like me in the same way as I prayed. I think he will asked and bless correct and needy persons-

So you won't ask because you're afraid god will not only not give you the money but also hold your request against you? Does it strike you that maybe he doesn't give you the money because he doesn't exist? Such a petty god is pretty much laughable. I can't believe so many people are promoting this nonsensical belief system.
Test your beliefs, don't let people tell you god doesn't like to be tested. Any god that doesn't want to be tested simply wants you ignorant. You don't want to be ignorant, do you?

Yes, I believe that. When you ask God for something, don't make it small.
God is not a small God. Ask and it will be given unto you.
God wants you to have it all, great abundance and wealth, and whatever our hearts desire.
When we ask small, we limit ourselves in our thinking.
If we can't even think about, or pray for anything larger, how do we ever expect to get anything!
I say, go for it! It's a test of trust. How much we believe in God.

The chances of god answering your prayer are the same as winning a lottery. So you might as well buy the lottery ticket and forget about god.
At least the lottery ticket won't ask you what you're going to do with the money.

Trust and faith are two important pillars of life.Everybody have faith in something to live on.Even if I do not believe in something,I believe in millions of people who believe in.I may not believe in lot of things,but for some reason,my day do not start if I do not sit for my morning prayers.
