I SUGGEST THAT WHEN YOU'RE ON THE PHONE YOU FACE THEM AND SPEAK AS THOUGH YOU WERE TALKING TO THEM. WHEN ON THE COMPUTER, CHAT WITH THEM. THEY JUST WANT TO BE INCLUDED.

it is the attention thing.. if you have to talk and your not talking to them they are jealous.. if you have a cordless phone.. stand next to thier cage and they will think that you are paying attention to them.. they don't know that is someone on the phone..they just hear your words and if your are next to them they will listen to you.. but don't forget they want to say a few things as well..so you will have to tel the person on the line what is happening ... if it is too important of a call.. take it to another room so the birds can't see you on the phone
i use to talk to my pet bird while i was searching the web also.. they only know your talking even if it is not to them.. attention is all they want..

Its because you are paying attention to the appliances and not them. I have 2 blue and gold macaws, and screaming is the one thing they do well. I use a squirt bottle and whenever they are screaming to be obnoxious, I squirt them and tell them NO. and walk away. It took them a couple months to catch on, but they finally did. Good luck!
Also, make sure they have lots of toys because birds have a tendicy to scream to amuse themselves if they are bored.

u should put them in a different room where the computer is not in, and also don't go in the room where they are when you are on the phone. Or close the door so that they wont know if they are smart.

Yes feed them to the cat. No I am really joking, while you are online play nature music. It should calm them down. Experiment with different music. My cockatiels used to like Jazz for some reason.
