It isn't abnormal.

It might depend on the type of work you do too. For example, if you do alot of digging with a shovel or rowing types of movement in your line of work you might get larger back muscles from that. If you have been out raking leaves, shoveling snow, digging up the garden or anything like that you are working the back muscles more than the chest muscles.

It might just be in your genetic makeup to have a large back too. Different people have different giftings. Just like some people are tall and some are short and they can't do anything about that, so too some people have one muscle group that just naturally is very large.

You might try changing your bench press style to a wider grip on the bar. You might also try working with a partner so that you can safely use more weight, but fewer repetitions. A weight that is heavy enough that you fail before you get to the 6th repetition for example. (Which is why you need a partner - to help you lift the weight off your chest when you fail.) Heavier weight makes your muscles grow faster.

Forced negatives can also help. For this, after you have lost the ability to lift the weight, your partner lifts it for you, but you don't put it back on the rack. Instead he lets go and you try to keep the bar up as long as you can. You won't be able to do this for long and the weight will slowly lower back to your chest. You probably only want to do 1 rep of this at the very end of your last set.

Also, make sure you eat correctly following your workout. A fast whey protein isolate right after your workout gives your body something to work with. I carry an empty protein shaker cup with a scoop of whey protein isolate powder and a scoop of creatine in it to the gym and then fill it with water right after my workout. Then I shake it up and drink it down on the spot before I hit the showers. After I have showered and gotten dressed I take a 2nd serving of just the protein. The 1st serving with the creatine mix has carbs in it to boost the uptake of the creatine and the whey. Then 2nd serving is just protein, but I don't gulp down the 2nd serving like I do the first serving. Rather I carry it with me in the car and just sip it down over the next 15 minutes or so. About 1/2 an hour later I eat a small solid meal of protein, complex carbs and fiber. Beans and brown rice, with a chicken breast and some veggies is a good choice. The beans and brown rice have fiber as well as slow complex carbohydrates.

You missed out a word in your answer, it should be "Why is MY left chest muscle bigger than MY right chest MUSCLE?" Maybe you're left handed
