1. wash your face with warm water and cleanser for sensitive skin;
2. clean your face with warm water and water towel; press the tower on your mouth for 1-2 minutes;
3. shave your face gently, may be you should switch to another shaver, try clarins;
4. wash again your face after shaving with cold water; apply some moisturizer which is intended for sensitive skin, la roche posay may be a good option.
5. clean your gillette cutter with alcohol cotton at times and you should switch the cutter occasionally.

I would say start with lessening the frequency of shaving; if you are blonde, you may be able to look clean while shaving once in three days. Less frequent exposure to razors might be helpful and secondly make sure you use warm/hot water while shaving. Post-shower shave is an excellent way to ensure that the skin is smooth when put under the razor however if the water is cold, that is not the case so try and use warm water for facial shave.
Cheers.

Try switching to either a Norelco Advantage or Braun Syncro 7500 series. electric razor. use both like Braun for dry shaving and Norelco when wet shaving. The Braun seems to shave a lot faster and closer. But whatever you decide don't get the low end bargain basement electric razors they will eat your face up if you are fair complexioned and thin skinned. I know been there done that.
One thing it could be what you are putting on your face after shaving as well that causes it to break out. You can also try shaving before showering. And not putting any kind of moisturizer or after shave lotion on your face.
You might also try using a shaving gel like Edge instead of regular shaving cream.

1)first of all lather your face down with hot water
2) use a fresh 3 blade razor every time you shave
3) dont shave to close try shaving down with the grain instead of up YOU ARE IRRITATING YOUR SKIN BY SHAVING UP
4) do not bang the razor on the sink this dulls the razor RUN IT THROUGH RUNNING WATER TO REMOVE HAIR
5) use aftershave WITH ALCOHOL it burns , but it more effective in preventing RAZORBURN try old spice or gillette gel, both work very good for me
6) SHAVE AT NIGHT, shaving in the morning is rougher on sensitive skin than night ,plus it will allow your body more time to bnaturually heal from razorburn
7) TRY SHOWERING AFTER SHAVING , it helps me and i have sensitive skin
FOllow these 7 steps and it should get rid of your problem for sure. I did'nt have a dad growing up so I had an old crackhead teach me how to shave properly in jail.

Look its very simple my boyfriend uses this technique that somebody told him and didn't believe at first and then was amazed with the results so was I lol...
Steps:
1. Wet your face a little with cold water
2. Apply any lotion on face and leave on for 2 minutes
3. Apply hand soap to face (use this instead of shaving cream)
4. Just shave
Results:
No redness, bumps just clean shaved, and best of all last for a few days.

There are products that help alleviate razor bumps. I can't think of the names right off hand, but they typically have "bump" in the name, and the products are located in the shaving section. Look for a box with an African-American man on it - these products are marketed specifically towards African-Americans, but they work for everyone!
To help with the razor burn/rash, try patting some witch hazel into your skin after shaving. The bump-away lotion might help, too, but I usually use witch hazel.

Using fresh blades will help prevent that problem. Go over your face twice: once along with your whiskers, using fairly heavy pressure and longer strokes, and then a second time against the whiskers, using very light pressure and quick, light strokes. The first time over, think crocodile; the second time think hummingbird. After the second time, when you've finished, avoid rubbing your beard "the wrong way", i.e., against the grain, as much as possible. Good luck.

My hubby used to get razor bumps all the time so I bought him some Crew Shave Herbal shave balm and now he rarely gets them. You can usually find it in salons. If not maybe they can order it for you. Usually around Christmas they will have the gift sets.

You didnt mention what shaver you use. Try the "at least" 3 bladed shavers. The 2 blades are junk. Pay a couple extra bucks for better ones and dont buy cheap razors.

use an moisturizer with salicylic or glycolic acid
it frees the hair stubs that are causing those bumps
cetaphil is fine but it can cause your skin to not shed it's dead cells and therefore cause ingrown hairs.
here is a free razor they offer it because they hope after you use it and like it and buy refill razors, I ordered one for my husband ..it's really nice, and a good deal..lol
