I recently asked my girlfriend to marry me (on Dec. 9th). The next day, she said something that was kind of a shock to me. She said that many women are going to be attracted to me based on the fact that I'm engaged. I don't believe it, but i have been wondering. Is this true?

ok. just a guess here, but when i see a single guy, i think there has to be a reason why he is single (unless he is the type who likes being single) but when some girls see a man who is commited to someone, its a turn om becuase they tend to think that this guy has it going on. one thing for sure. I never ever even talk to a guy who is engaged unless we know each other someone how.

First, congratulations to you both...

Now onto the answers...

1) Being engaged, you are showing you are willing to commit to a relationship. It shows that you are an acceptable mate, and that another woman vouched for that by accepting you...

2) The "lust light" has probably gone out of you're eyes. You are looking at (other) women like they are human beings and not just another warm place to put "Mr Happy"...

3) People want what they can't have. By being 'unavailable', other women suddenly think they might be missing out on something good they never noticed before...

It's a cruel irony given the amount of effort men have to go through to find the right woman (or any woman really). Just wait to see how insane it gets when you get married...

Yes it's true and the answer is simple. Engaged or better yet, married men are safe. At least women think we are safe. I conducted my own experiment to this theory in vegas over two nights. One night with my wedding ring on, and one with it off. Needless to say I had many many more opportunities on the night wearing my ring than without it.

A couple of things happen. Your status goes up a notch when someone is prepared to marry you. People want what they can't have - and there is truth to it but don't go buying an interview studio for the influx of women...lol it is a very subtle shift that happens.

Many single men are not ready or willing to get married. But an engaged man shows with his commitment that he is most certainly ready and willing to get married. And perhaps his willingness and his readiness to get married is what turns on many single women.

seem for a comic called Adam Hills - he's lacking a foot and he gets laid all of the time. luckily for us adult males, seems are not pivotal (chicks are greater attentive to words than photos), and a minimum of u lost ur leg as a replace of having ur face all mangled. if u can nonetheless have intercourse in maximum positions ur candy. there are possibly chicks available with the amputee fetish yet...etch. get a prosthetic leg and a few trousers and u'll discover that's going to possibly make an exciting communication piece. specific, that's going to scare some females off, yet once you play ur enjoying cards precise, it is not as many as u think of. besides, all of the superb, mate.

Yes it is, it happened to me, once my fiancee proposed to me, all this girls appeared out of nowhere, attracted to him.
I think its just the fact that woman are looking for someone mature, and proposing to someone you love and care about , means you wish to spend the rest of your life with them, means that you are serious about the relationship, and are more mature than other guys out there.
therefore other woman see that, and they want that.
Most woman want a man like that, instead of a man that just wants to use a girl for the fun of it.

becoz people all of a sudden want what they can't have anymore. whether they've had it before or not. call it human nature. call it being a slut. now, how are YOU gonna handle all those women that are comin your way now? don't fall, be a MAN. there are so few (real) men around anymore.

No, it should be based on how attractive you feel.
Maybe she means you are off the market, & too bad they had their chance; but now you're taken!
