The painkiller, Vicodin, cosists of two medications.
the 1st is Acetaminophen (Tylenol ) and
the 2nd is Hydrococone

It comes in dfferent strengths (under different Brands)
Vicodin 5/500
Vicodin 7.5mg
Vicodin Extra Strength 10/500
also under the name of Lortab....the 10/500 is the one that i take on a regular basis. it does work well and is definately addicting.
but some people have certain conditions that warrant taking this medication on a regular basis. I hope this has been helpful.

Vicodin is usually prescribed for moderate to severe pain. I think they are alot like Lortabs. The doctor usually doesn't give you too many because they are addictive. Make sure you eat before you take them or you may get really nauseated. You should be careful driving or anything like that before you see how they affect you. Lots of people feel great and get a great burst of energy. Other people get sleepy. And sometimes they affect you totally different than they usually do.

It is a pain killer. It works pretty well and also seems to put you in a good mood. Like any narcotic, it can give you health problems if you take too much. It can give you constipation, for example.

ONLY take this prescription drug on a doctor's orders, it can seriously mess you up. If you want to have fun, just drink some good beer, sit around the fire and yap with your friends.

It's a potentially addictive pain medication. Perscribed OTC drug used for more critical pain treatments. Mainly cuases drowsiness and deals with pain receptors. Not anti-inflamitory.

Usually distributed in it's generic form Hydrocodone (usually APAP 7.5mg, 750mg). Hydrocodone is generic directly for Vicodin ES.

Vicodin is a painkiller. It contains two active ingredients. One is acetaminophen (Tylenol) and the other is hydrocodone. Vicodin is a narcotic and can be addictive if not taken properly.

It's like codeine. It's a pain killer. Dentists give it alot for after dental work. Vicodin makes me EXTRMELY nauseated whereas codeine does not.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Since acetaminophen and hydrocodone is taken as needed, you may not be on a dosing schedule. If you are taking the medication regularly, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
