1. Israel established by a UN mandate from British territory in the Middle East. The original UN division created seperate Jewish and Arab states, and Jerusalem was to be an international city, owned by no-one. - 1947

2. Palestinians ask the surrounding Arab nations to attack Israel so they can have all of the territory. The Arab nations agree and tell the Palestinians to move into their lands to get out of the soon-to-be warzone, they can move back in when Israel is crushed. - '47

3. Israel is attacked by all of the surrounding Arab nations. Israel wins the war and seizes the former Palestinian territory as spoils of war. - '47

4. The Arab nations go to war with Israel again and again over the next 50-ish years until they realize they can't win.

5. The Palestinians engage in guerilla warfare to take back the land Israel seized after it won the 1947 war.

"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism.

For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."

-PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein, 1977

Before 1919 Palestine was part of the Turkish Empire and in 1920 after turkey had lost WW1 it became a British administeresd territory under League of Nations mandate.
At this time jews (the minority) lived in peace with their christian and muslim neighbors who were mainly arab.
There was a Jewish organisation in Europe called Zionism which wanted to establish a jewish homeland in Palestine to escape the persecution by christians in many European countries.
After WW1 jews started to arrive from Europe and eventually started to encroach on arab lands which led to unrest among the arab population.
This situation deteriorated quickly after WW2 when boatloads of illegal jewish immigrants who had survived the Nazi holocaust forced their way into Palestine against the wishes of the British administration.
These immigrants formed terrorist gangs and carried out many atrocities until the UN passed a resolution in 1948 to stop the bloodshed by a partition of Palestine into jewish and arab areas as soon as the British left.
The arabs rejected this as they had not been given a vote on the matter.
Just two days before the final British withdrawal the Jewish immigrants launched a full scale war against the arab population and massacred many of them and destroyed their villages.
The survivors ended up in refugee camps where they have been ever since.
The jewish immigrants declared that their captured territory should be called Israel

This battle between Arabs and Israelits goes way before the UN. It starts in the bible when Abraham, the father of all our faiths, was told by his wife, Sarah, to sleep with one of his servants so he could give his inheritance to somebody when they died. Then as we all know sarah had a wife whom they named Isaac. The son of the slave, named Ishmael, was throwing stones at Isaac when they were older and he and his mother were banished from the house of Abraham. Israel and the Arab nations are fighting for the love of their father.

Pali's came from alot of diff countries that they were kicked out of. No matter what they say they never had a country and part of Israel certainly is NOT their land as they claim. You will not get a truthful answer from them. They think it's their land. It is NOT.

Good luck, it's a lot of people on both sides killing each other. A lot of lies, a lot of sadness, and a lot of people dying because they believe land and holy land is worth dying for. Religion is a very powerful tool, and in the wrong hands it can be deadly.
