There's more proof that there is a God than that there isn't one, where's your undeniable, factual proof there isn't one?

Consider an empty box. If someone put a statue in a box and closed it up, there are several ways you can tell that the statue is in the box: you can weigh it; you can x-ray it; you can shake it. You can acquire evidence to indicate that there is a statue in the box. Now, remove the statue from the box and close it back up. Now, give it to someone to prove that there is nothing in the box and partner him or her with someone who believes there is something in the box, but it’s feature are unknown. If they weight it, the believer can say that it is something incredibly light; if they x-ray it, the believer can say that it is invisible to x-rays; if they shake it, the believer can say it doesn't move. You know there's nothing in the box because you removed the statue, but the believer can come up with an infinite number of ways to say the other person is wrong. One could even cross-reference all the tests to show that all the signs that there is something in the box don't indicate that anything is in there now, but the believer can keep coming up with ridiculous ideas because he or she isn’t limited by evidence.

This is similar to humanity's experience with God. The more we come to understand about the universe through science the more tests we put on the box, and the more tests show us that there is nothing there. The history of science is the deconstruction of what we used to assume was God's role in the universe. Some of the basic scientific beliefs you probably hold today were considered heresy back only a few hundred years ago. Everything that people said were indications that God was in the box: the sun revolving around the earth, the earth as the center of the universe, divine right of kings, disease, famine, complexity, etc. have been proven time and again to correspond to the basic physical laws. God went from directing the Sun across the sky, to not even being in control of the weather. All God seems to do today is maybe randomly answering some people’s prayers, but not all people and certainly not all of the time—certainly, not enough to give up one’s health insurance. All of our provable repeatable data points to nothing being in the box. That's your evidence. And like the box, someone keeps trying to come up with ways to say the tests don't tell us everything, but those critics don't come up with a way to show us with evidence that there is anything in the box. We've done our tests and shown our data, we're waiting for someone else to come up with the evidence that we're wrong.

There is no undeniable factual proof that Lincoln existed. Or that gravity will work tomorrow. There is only evidence. And since someone invented the idea of god(s), I'm sorry to say it's up to you to prove this idea to me.

Quote "There's more proof that there is a God than that there isn't one" unquote.

Fair enough I will give you the benefit of a doubt.......but you need to give me just one thing that proofs that there is one. A picture is all I need.

Then I shall give you all the proof you need and more to show that the picture is a fake.

I know not the answer you were looking for but it is more concrete than your question.

The proof he isn't there is almost as easy to find as proof he is. The proof he is comes from places like churches, scripture, and your inner thoughts/faith.
The proof he isn't comes similarly from the media, people you meet, and yourself.

You could easily come up with a million reasons for him to not exists, especially when you're feeling down. Most of these bring your beleif down and further convince you that there is no god.
You could also start by beleiving, but if you look and look for a sign and don't see it you may begin to think your looking in vain.
(Personly, I think you just need to see it from another angle. But that's a little hard sometimes.)

Lack of faith or beleif comes from within and, like anything else, is strengthend in numbers.

You mean proof as in the Bible??
If we can proof the existence or the non existence of G-d, the entire topic is moot.
All we have now are theories, conjectures and a whole other stuff, but no tangible proof.
The only thing for G-d is faith (blind or otherwise) and the thing against G-d is logic (common sense or not).
Just thinking about the paradoxes of G-d's existence is giving me a headache

Who cares bout proof of God either way! I am honest, faithfull ( to my husband), loving and all other things good. I dont need there to be a God to dictate how I will live my life. My parents raised me to believe what I felt in my heart. I am a strong individual who believes in myself and those around me. Thats all i need to die a happy camper. :)

Its up to you to prove there is one with real evidence. You invented the sky daddy, and you expect everybody to believe in it just on a book of stories.

Besides there's so many different gods that are,or have been worshiped so how do you know yours is the one?

While I agree with you, it's a valid assertion that you can't prove a negative. The burden of "proof" is upon the positive assertion that there is a God.

Same place as my proof that there are no Unicorns or Werewolves or Zombies or Warlocks.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

Religion has none.

Prove the absence of anything to me.
Prove that there are no unicorns.
Prove that there are no living unicorns.
Prove that there are no living unicorns who aren't basically goats or rhinocerouses.
Prove that there are no spirits of the air.
Prove that there are no elves, dwarves, fairies, dragons, ogres, boggles, trolls, angels, devils, centaurs, satyrs, devas, daimons, genii.....
Prove to me that God is not Allah, Jehosophat, Buddha, Shaitan........

You can't prove negative things, you can't prove the lack of something, but please, show me otherwise before you challenge me to do so.
