Though it is not understood what you mean by 'close', it is presumed that you are talking about the comfort level and faith in a friendly relationship resulting in to a proposal. 17 and 18. let's analyze this for a moment shall we? inj a year and yours and her friends are still single what will you be thinking? more than likely "damn, why did i get maried?" now maybe you have a kid. what then? how are you going to provide for this person? at 18 you probably don't have a job and maybe not even out of high school. the best thing you can do is NOT propose to her. get your head straightened out!!

Not at all. It depends on your confidence. If you feel that the girl is giving some attention, just gather the courage and propose. At the most she will reject your proposal. But you have started the process and then trying to convince her should not be that difficult.

You should maintain at least a meter distance so that she will not be able to slap you. You say her that you wanted to propose her in a new way which is something different but there is no other way to propose other than saying "I love you".

Relationships today are much different compared to when I was going thru that.Back in the day the thought of having sex pror to marriage was tabboo/Now days people are nothing but bed hoppers and its sad not to wait til that special day and then be together.Relationships are an on-off deal now.Try being different and maybe she'll know this relationship is going to be very special
