Well, to start off, I'm 18 yr. old male, and have had generalized anxiety with the occasional panic attack for the past year. One of my main symptoms I have is my breathing gets "off" and I don't breathe "naturally". It's like I'm constantly thinking about it and it causes me to breath too much, not at the right speed, etc. I tend to mouth breathe more often than I should also.

Well, when I sit up on my bed to read, use my laptop, etc, I always feel like I have to burp. Then I have HUGE burps that come deep down from my stomach.

Could I be taking in too much air and not notice it because my breathing has been "different" for close to a year? Which explains why I feel like I have to burp so much?

When I have those HUGE stomach burps, it relieves ALOT of pressure and just makes me feel really loose... it's like, ahh, and it just opens me up.

Does this sound logical? Or is it maybe something else?

My sister had a similar problem when we were kids going through our parent's divorce. She would release loud, man-sized burps, at the most inopportune times, and she was only 9! The doctor diagnosed her problem as gastritis, and yes, it was brought on by her anxiety.
